POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Content Manager to join our team at Quatrain Creative. This is a full-time, remote role. The ideal candidate has a background in writing and content marketing with experience developing content for B2B customers in a wide variety of industries like tech, finance, and education. They are a great writer, an equally good editor who can tackle any subject matter, and able to lead SME interviews and work with clients in a professional and personable manner. In this role, you will create, lead, and collaborate in the development of high-impact marketing content including case studies, blogs, e-books, white papers, email, web copy, infographics, sales decks, and more. Reporting to the CEO/Creative Director, you will work directly with customers to plan content initiatives and ensure their flawless execution, managing the briefing, writing, editing, and delivery process by collaborating with contract writing staff and the customer’s marketing team, executive leadership, and technical experts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism, English, or other related field and/or equivalent education/experience
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience leading B2B content development and working directly and independently with customers
  • Creative abilities to produce engaging and compelling content
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in written and verbal form
  • Ability to expertly lead customer calls and SME interviews, driving productive discussion and nurturing customer relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks with ease, work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to form strong and meaningful relationships with collaborators, stakeholders, and customers
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with experience crafting creative briefs and coaching writers
  • The ability to translate highly technical and complex topics into captivating, informative, and digestible content
  • Strong knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels
  • Experience with keyword placement and SEO best practices
  • Must be based in ET and available to schedule client calls M-F between 9am-5pm ET

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience writing for a senior executive audience
  • Prior experience developing content for B2B customers in the tech space (cloud, Gen AI, etc.)

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (to include customers, SMEs, and contract writers) to ensure that Quatrain’s content meets customer goals and is of the very best quality.
  • Schedule, plan, and lead SME interviews (via Zoom)
  • Attend and contribute to customer strategy and check-in meetings, help with brainstorming, and send follow-up notes and action items.
  • Edit short and long-form content to ensure it meets Quatrain’s tone and drives thought leadership, making sure each piece adheres to brand guidelines, style, tone, etc. and is grammatically correct and consistent.
  • Analyze customer content ideas and develop SME questions.
  • Develop content briefs for writers, ensuring that the writer has everything they need to develop a strong and successful piece that meets the customer’s goals.
  • Collaborate with writers by developing and delivering briefs, writing or approving outlines, editing their work, and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Own project management of content development with customers, SMEs, and writers.
  • Contribute to Quatrain’s brand growth by developing content for the company’s website, blog, social media posts, and sales materials.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing standard procedures and templates for content development, including briefs, SME questions, and style guides.
  • Identify opportunities to suggest additional content to customers, supporting long-term relationships with customers.
