Markey’s is looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to add to our corporate communications/ marketing team. This role will focus on creating valuable and engaging content to attract and retain customers, which includes developing proposals, newsletters, case studies, one sheets, and other marketing collateral to support brand messaging. The ideal candidate will be a strong and versatile writer with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
As a key member of the team, you will create a wide range of compelling marketing content—from proposals and newsletters to case studies, one sheets, and other sales and marketing collateral—to help attract, engage, and retain customers. This position plays a central role in building thought leadership, strengthening our brand voice, and supporting the company’s growth initiatives.
This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position with typical daytime office hours Monday through Friday. Potential for hybrid work schedule after first year.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A talented writer with a passion for clear communication and a strong eye for detail.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in content writing, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field. Previous experience in a B2B environment is a plus.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and purposes.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring all content is accurate, polished, and consistent with brand standards.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across departments to produce high-quality content.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; Abode InDesign is a plus. Experience with web-based content management systems is also a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Write and edit newsletters, proposal content, case studies, website articles, and other marketing materials.
  • Proposal Writing: Develop high-quality proposal content that is clear, persuasive, and tailored to the needs of potential clients.
  • Case Studies: Research and write case studies that highlight our company’s successes, showcasing the impact of our products and services on clients.
  • Internal and External Communications: Produce written materials for both internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone across all communications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, creative services, and senior leadership, to gather information and ensure the accuracy and relevance of content.
  • Brand Voice: Maintain a consistent brand voice and style across all written materials, ensuring content aligns with company guidelines and messaging.
