Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate in the Contentious Probate team, you will:

  • Manage a diverse and complex caseload of contentious probate matters, including challenges to wills, executor and trustee disputes, Inheritance Act claims, and disputes involving trusts and estates.
  • Represent clients in mediations and court proceedings, preparing legal documentation, witness statements, and advocacy where required.
  • Provide strategic advice to a broad range of clients, including private individuals, charities, and trustees.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and trainee solicitors, supporting their professional development and contributing to the team’s growth.
  • Work closely with the firm’s highly regarded Dispute Resolution team, ensuring seamless collaboration on cases that involve multiple areas of law.
  • Support business development initiatives, attending networking events, building relationships with referrers, and contributing to marketing efforts.
  • Maintain the highest professional standards, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
