POSITION SUMMARY:

The Restoration Contents Manager is responsible for overseeing the handling, inventory, packing, cleaning, storage, and return of personal property and contents affected by disasters such as fire, water, mold, or smoke damage. This position ensures timely and professional service delivery, quality assurance, and effective team coordination throughout the contents restoration process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in restoration, contents management, or related field.
  • Experience in textile restoration/dry cleaning preferred.
  • Experience using Fireline for contents cleaning preferred.
  • Experience with restoration software such as Xactimate, DASH, Encircle, or similar preferred.
  • IICRC Certification(s) preferred (e.g., Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician - FSRT).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of personal property handling and cleaning techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in environments affected by fire, smoke, water, or mold damage.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management
  • Oversee all contents restoration projects from initial assessment to completion.
  • Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and clients to schedule pack-out/pack-in services.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and insurance company requirements.
  • Customer Service
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding contents services.
  • Provide updates to clients and address questions or concerns promptly.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs and obtain customer sign-off.
  • Inventory & Documentation
  • Manage and maintain accurate digital and physical inventory of contents.
  • Utilize software platforms (e.g. Xactimate, ContentsTrack) to log items.
  • Ensure photographic and written documentation of all contents.
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise and train contents technicians on proper packing, cleaning, and storage techniques.
  • Lead teams in the field during pack-outs and pack-ins.
  • Ensure team compliance with safety and company procedures.
  • Quality Control
  • Oversee cleaning and restoration processes for soft and hard goods.
  • Inspect work to ensure standards of care and client satisfaction are met.
  • Handle damage claims and work with the customer and insurance adjusters for resolution.
