Description

Provide administrative support to the Bladder and Bowel (Continence) Service.
M anage telephone calls on an individual basis with service users and d eal sensitively and appropriately and take relevant action depending on the nature of the call.
To input patients order details onto the continence service product databases and observe confidentiality in accordance with GDPR.
To act as a link between staff, service users and other service users by receiving and giving informed and accurate information, whilst maintaining patient confidentiality.
Provide general and product related advice and information to service users , carers and clinical staff over the telephone.
Arrange clinic appointments as appropriate .
Demonstrate empathy and understanding of the patient and carers emotional needs.
To maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the department, checking stock deliveries against delivery notes, reporting discrepancies / damages and follow up as appropriate .

Responsibilities

Minimal face to face patient contact however must have excellent Interpersonal telephone skills – be able to manage sensitive personal information.
IT skills – knowledge of key operating systems such as Microsoft and RIO
Manage own workload daily, independently and without supervision and to demonstrate the flexibility required to respond to interruptions and changing priorities.
