Description

At SPB Solutions, we focus on safety daily for our employees and our community. The Driver ensures safe operation of the truck and all trailers while driving, loading and unloading. The driver arrives at customer locations for pick up of bulk materials and exchanging of roll off bins, returning to main site for unloading. Other duties include general helper within the facility, forklift operations, telehandler, de-pack, loading and unloading bulk trucks, mill operator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AZ license is required and must be maintained.
  • Proven record of safe driving performance.
  • Excellent spatial skills to position vehicle and bins effectively and drive accident free.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information to outload dispatchers and customers.
  • Knowledge of the area and traffic patterns in order to schedule runs or take a detour is a strong asset.

Responsibilities
  • At beginning of shift, complete a circle check of truck, review safety issues, tires, lights, fuel, check oil and coolant levels, etc.
  • Review daily plant requirements and out loads with production operator and identify any potential issues.
  • Ensure inspection and safe operation of the truck at all times.
  • Drive to customer location for pickup, positioning truck as required to ensure safe loading of by-product.
  • Hoist bins onto truck and empty contents using roll off trailer, or empty contents into receiving pit.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service (e.g., arrive on schedule, pick-up all bins, clean up waste that falls out of bin when lifting, relock/re-close bins)
  • Resolve any issues if possible.
  • Complete special pickups as requested.
  • Unload contents, using safe procedures; manually clean out debris if necessary.
  • Sequence runs to optimize time.
  • Ensure PepsiCo outloads are arriving as required daily (calling of trucking companies).
  • At end of shift, fuel truck as required and complete post shift check of truck (e.g. turn air tanks and main battery off), make sure doors are closed and locked and trailer secured.
  • Document and communicate any concerns to be verified by mechanic and / or manager
  • Using ISAAC Transport Management System for daily logs, maintenance
  • Maintain truck / equipment cleanliness (washing etc) as time permits
  • Operation of Tele-Handler, outside Forklift to manage By-Product
  • Perform bulk loading tasks including rail car loading with related equipment
  • Perform daily inspections and regular cleaning of mobile equipment
  • Assist with trouble shooting of equipment / product problems
  • General warehouse / exterior / by-product clean-up, garbage and recycling
  • Communicate with fellow workers / supervision regarding productivity items
  • Sort / dump by-product drybox and drum products
