Job Summary: We are hiring a Continuing Care Assistant in LTC for our client’s travel healthcare team! As a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) in Long-Term Care, you will provide compassionate support and personal care to residents, promoting their comfort, dignity, and quality of life. You will assist with daily living activities, support emotional and physical well-being, and work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to create a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
Job Location: Saskatchewan, Canada.
Compensation Structure: $20-$22/hour

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a recognized Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in long-term care or a similar setting is preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform all required duties, including lifting, transferring, and assisting residents.
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety practices in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Support residents with feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ health, behavior, or physical condition to nursing staff promptly.
  • Provide companionship and engage residents in recreational activities to enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including changing linens, tidying rooms, and disinfecting equipment.
  • Follow individualized care plans and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure each resident’s needs are met.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
