Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of existing Continuing Education courses and programs on assigned campus and will support the implementation of new CE courses and programs in conjunction with the CE Coordinator.
  • Develop and manage course budgets as required.
  • Assess and implement logistical /administrative requirements for course and events; this may include but not limited to ordering and/or preparing materials and supplies, facility booking, arranging equipment, etc.
  • Prepare programming timetables.
  • In collaboration with the Office of the Registrar, open and close courses/programs, as required. Monitor enrolment and provide updates and recommendations to management.
  • Liaise with communities, organizations and industry partners, as well as key regional contacts to assess community demand/needs for programming.
  • Ensure course paperwork is complete and both course and instructor files are maintained in accordance with the CNC license holder agreement with the CNC license holder agreement.
  • Support CE Coordinator with proposal development as assigned.
  • Respond to, analyze, and evaluate community education and training requests on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide quotes for training to outside agencies and industry; and prepare Course Purchase Agreements, as required. May participate in negotiations as required.
  • Assist in monitor programming spending ensuring it is within approved budget allocation, and processing course expenditures.
  • Assist with the recruitment, hiring and orientation of CE course instructors.
  • Engage and schedule approved instructors, as required.
  • Prepare and maintain records for Agreements to Teach and Contract Development Worksheets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on the development of promotional strategies and materials.
  • Communicate with instructors and staff regarding course information, problem solving routine and non-routine administrative matters.
  • Coordinate plans and logistics for and participate in recruitment activities and information events.
  • Support the coordination of student admission activities, such as set up of interviews, etc. as required.
  • Provide first point of contact to students and triage concerns.
  • Provide course information to the public and responds to inquiries.
  • Administer course evaluations and compiles feedback. Documents and prepares recommendations on behalf of students, faculty and administrative team regarding programming.
  • Assists with the implementation in the delivery of programming from other Schools on assigned community campus, as required.
  • Performs general office duties such as word processing, data entry and maintain records, compiling reports, preparation of agenda and minutes, etc. as required.
  • Develops, documents, maintains and shares administrative processes that are in alignment with College policies and processes; and provides recommendations for process improvements when required.
  • Open and close classrooms when required (weekends and evenings).
  • Provide back-up coverage for other administrative positions, as needed.
