JOB SUMMARY

*This position is eligible for telework to applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering State (Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin). Effective June 1, employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. For those who live 50 or more miles away, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance are eligible to telework up to 100% of the time.
As a Continuous Improvement Analyst on the Training and Systems Development team, you will support the Department of Human Services’ (DHS) efforts in continuous improvement (CI) and innovation. This position initiates, leads, and supports improvement efforts for and with business units throughout the agency. This position also exists to provide training, mentorship, and consultation to DHS employees to build CI capacity and foster a CI culture within the agency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in Continuous Improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience training and/or coaching Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Experience modifying and presenting training to groups of varying size.
  • Formal training or certification in project management tools or methodologies, including using project management tools (e.g. Gantt charts, communication plans, task tracking and project plans, etc.).
  • Experience with SharePoint including creating sites, setting permissions, and creating document libraries.
  • Strong understanding of or experience in data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis to present accurate and useful information.
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
