Job Function

  • Leading role in the Continuous Improvement activities for the Plant, identify, plan and deploy.
  • Process & Workflow governance – systemic and change management; KPI administration
  • First point of contact for Plant stakeholders for process improvements
  • Key role in manufacturing engineering team, coaching apprentices and graduates

Responsibilities

  • Process Reviews
  • Work Instructions - support
  • KPI set up and administration, monthly report to executive.
  • Control of line trials
  • Plant / cell Layout
  • Line Trials
  • Capacity Analysis & time trials for improvements
  • Ensure all improvements comply with relevant regulations & standards
  • Record all improvements and status of projects in fiscal file
  • Support Quality to carry out relevant tests
  • Liaise and lead suppliers & customers for VAVE activities

Traits and Competences

  • Ability to communicate at all levels; influencing and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in project delivery
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Experience of the automotive industry

Preferred Education, Experiences & Qualifications

  • Degree in technical or manufacturing & Minimum of two years of engineering experience
  • A proven track record of delivering results against projects and improvement programmes in manufacturing environments
  • Experience in the application of continuous improvement tools
  • Understanding of lean methodology
  • Six Sigma is desirable
  • Experience of NPI is desirable
