Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Engineer serves as a proactive change agent, driving operational excellence by identifying, leading, and implementing high-impact process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role champions a culture of continuous improvement by increasing efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, and optimizing performance through Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies. The position requires the ability to influence stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and drive sustainable change without direct reporting authority, using strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills to deliver measurable results.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  · Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale (SQDCM). · Identify process gaps through data analysis, Gemba walks, audits, and performance metrics. · Lead Kaizen events with cross-functional teams, including value stream mapping sessions and root cause analysis workshops. · Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.). · Develop and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of improvement initiatives. · Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams. · Standardize best practices and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements. · Train and coach employees on continuous improvement tools and methodologies. · Support cost-reduction, productivity, and quality improvement goals. · Monitor and document measurable progress against defined goals and milestones.  Develop and deliver clear reports and presentations to leadership outlining project status, outcomes, and overall impact. Education  * A degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering     Experience and/or Training * Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across cross-functional teams. * Strong organizational abilities with excellent documentation skills. * Previous experience in lean and/or six sigma methodologies (Lean certification / Six sigma black belt preferred) * Strong knowledge (preferably hands on experience) in metal fabrication (lasering, forming, welding, hardware insertion, and metal finishing), assembly, and powder coating processes * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite  * Skilled in interpreting customer drawings, technical documents, and specifications. * Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems such as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER (Creo), and DraftSight (preferred). * Previous project management experience or possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Physical and Mental Demands · Frequent or prolonged standing and sitting. · Frequent standing and walking in office, manufacturing, warehouse, or operational environments. · Ability to conduct Gemba walks and observe processes on the production floor. · Occasional bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and light lifting (up to 40 lbs., if applicable). · Visual acuity to review data, analyze reports, and observe operational processes. · Ability to travel between sites. · High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving to evaluate complex processes and identify root causes. · Ability to interpret data, metrics, and financial impact analyses to drive decisions. · Strong strategic thinking and systems-level perspective. · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities. · Skilled facilitation and influence without direct authority. · Conflict resolution and change management capabilities in cross-functional environments. · High level of attention to detail and organizational skills. · Effective communication skills, including presenting to leadership and frontline teams. · Resilience and adaptability in dynamic operational settings. · Color perception required
