Responsibilities

THIS ROLE IS AN ON-SITE POSITION AT OUR HENDERSONVILLE, NC PLANT. KIMBERLY-CLARK RELOCATION BENEFITS AVAILABLE.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement loss control throughout the organization by visibly demonstrating that safety is embraced as a value.
  • Support and champion safety in your manufacturing site and team by driving educational and behavioral processes to a world class level, through the application of OPEX, LSS and T4E tools.
  • Develops, facilitates, and manages Operational Excellence improvement plans for focus areas
  • Develops and executes site strategy for OPEX implementation in collaboration and partnership with Site Leadership and KCNA SC partners.
  • Leads the facility in annual strategy deployment, developing the capability of key thinkers, and ensuring management infrastructure is in place to achieve goals.
  • Facilitates Kaizen events within the Mill
  • Ensures existing management infrastructures (i.e. Centerlining, Tier Meetings and KPI’s, Leader Standard Work) are interlinked to provide a coherent framework in the Mill
  • Provide continuous feedback to Leadership team, consistent with OPEX Mindsets, the K-C Ways of Working, and the Culture of Accountability
  • Facilitates, promotes, and supports OPEX, LEAN, and T4E cultural development
  • Coaches and develops hourly team in the use of LEAN techniques and thinking
  • Uses LEAN assessment tools to identify opportunities and gap areas
  • Facilitates the development, introduction, and tracking of standard work for leaders within focus areas; Identifies capability gaps and prioritizes activities to address these gaps
  • Develops, leads, and improves the Training For Excellence (T4E) program for the site including work direction to the hourly training team
  • Understand the needs of the Customer (our Employees) and design the Training program to meet those needs.
  • Support the development and application of framework standards for management systems and processes to ensure compliance with Plan, Do, Check, and Adjust
  • Provide standard mechanism to track and report scorecard of Operational Excellence transformation measures
  • Understand the P2030 expectations and incorporate standards where applicable across the site.
  • Provide cost leadership for the site including the identification and leadership of cost savings projects as well as tracking of mill projects via the WAVE tool.
  • Ensure respective team members are active participants in regional networks in the areas they support, sharing learnings and adopting and applying one best way standards and processes

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited College or University Minimum
  • 8+ years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Lean and/or Six Sigma environment
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Team Leader in Operations
  • Strong understanding of the value and application of Operational Excellence
  • Strong understanding of the value and application of Servant Leadership
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Offic
