Description
Lead implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including continuous improvement framework (CIF) lean six sigma, value stream mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc. Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality. Collaborate with facilities and operations maintenance programs through preventive maintenance, planned facilities maintenance, and management of facilities direct and contract personnel. Direct capital improvement program across multiple manufacturing facilities including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups. Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement. Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution Minimum three (3) years' experience managing/leading direct reports Minimum three (3) years' experience working in a manufacturing environment Minimum three (3) years experience in operations/Continuous improvement 5-7 years' experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Project Management Professional certification Experience with MRP systems (SAP) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Experience with Microsoft Project
