Description Position Summary The Continuous Improvement / Safety Coordinator supports daily safety activities and continuous improvement efforts within the organization. This entry-level role works closely with employees and leadership to promote a safe work environment, assist with process improvement projects, maintain safety records, and help drive operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in operations, safety, manufacturing, or continuous improvement. Requirements Safety Coordination Assist with facility safety inspections and audits. Help ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Conduct new employee safety orientations and assist with ongoing safety training. Maintain safety records, training documentation, and incident reports. Participate in incident, injury, and near-miss investigations. Track corrective actions and follow up on completion. Promote employee engagement in safety programs and initiatives. Support emergency preparedness and response activities. Work assignments are subject to Management approval Continuous Improvement Assist with Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities. Collect and track operational and safety performance data. Support improvement projects aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and safety. Help identify process improvement opportunities through observations and employee feedback. Create and update standard work instructions and procedures. Participate in team meetings and improvement events. Maintain visual management boards and KPI tracking tools. Administrative Support Prepare reports, presentations, and performance metrics. Enter and maintain data in company systems and spreadsheets. Assist with internal audits and compliance documentation. Coordinate safety meetings and maintain meeting records Perform duties as directed and approved by management. Support special projects as assigned and initiatives with manager approval. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, operations, safety, or related environments. Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Willingness to learn Lean Manufacturing and workplace safety principles. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of 5S, Lean principles, or continuous improvement concepts. OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience using Excel for tracking and reporting data. Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout manufacturing, warehouse, or production areas. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
