Description
Description Role Profile: Continuous Improvement Specialist Focus: Operational Excellence & Hands-On Process Optimization Executive Summary We are seeking a proactive Continuous Improvement Specialist dedicated to streamlining operations and eliminating waste. This is a high-impact, "boots-on-the-ground" role designed for a natural problem-solver who excels at identifying inefficiencies and physically implementing functional solutions. We value a Fixer Mentality—prioritizing mindset, adaptability, and tangible results over formal certifications. Core Responsibilities Audit & Gap Analysis: Conduct shop-floor observations to identify bottlenecks, redundant movements, and time-wastage in daily workflows. Solution Implementation: Lead end-to-end improvement projects. This is a physical role involving the reorganization of work cells, installation of racking systems, and the deployment of visual management tools (labeling/shadow boards). Standardization: Develop concise, user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual guides to ensure process sustainability and team alignment. Performance Tracking: Utilize data tools (Excel/KPI Dashboards) to monitor the impact of changes and ensure a positive Return on Investment (ROI). Candidate Requirements Hands-On Capability: Demonstrated ability to lead by example. Must be physically capable of moving equipment and configuring layouts to optimize workspace ergonomics. Analytical Communication: Ability to translate complex process changes into clear instructions for frontline teams while actively soliciting and incorporating their feedback. Technical Proficiency: Competency in basic data management and tracking tools (Microsoft Excel) to quantify improvements. Continuous Improvement Mindset: A strong interest in Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Flow). While formal "Belts" are not required, a passion for efficiency is essential. Physical Requirements: Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, mobile equipment, and walking surfaces strewn with materials, power cords and tools are typical. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling and walking 8 to 10 hours per day. Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work. Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time. Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area. Monti, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
