Wonderful Orchards and Wonderful Bees are a part of The Wonderful Company, a privately held $5 billion company dedicated to harvesting health and happiness around the world through its iconic consumer brands which include Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, POM Wonderful, FIJI Water, Teleflora, and JUSTIN Wine Job Description The Continuous Improvement Specialist is essential in developing and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives, improving productivity and driving loss elimination across Wonderful Orchards locations. This role is also responsible for the training and coaching of teams on Continuous Improvement tools such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S and other common tools. This individual will also provide expertise in advanced problem-solving and process optimization tools and techniques at our various sites. Functions include but are not limited to the following. Must be able to move freely between tasks depending on workload, season, etc. Training and Coaching: Train, coach, and challenge process owners in the use of lean tools, approaches, and techniques to create sustainable management and measurement systems. Lean Tools Facilitation: Facilitate team use of Lean Tools, including Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, PDCA/Problem Solving Process, and identifying Waste. Project Management: Manage multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery and quality using both internal and external resources. Process Improvement: Investigate and analyze production methods and processes to identify improvements that drive efficiency, reduce cost, and eliminate waste. Data Analysis: Conduct various analysis to gauge the benefit and cost associated with individual projects. Best Practices: Actively seek out best practices to share and implement at the sites – with special care given to cross-functional or cross-departmental practices Assist in the creation of baselines Pay Range: $71,000-$80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience. Qualifications Certification or Significant experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma a plus Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Outstanding written communication skills Proficiency with learning management systems Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Basic knowledge of agriculture or technical fields preferred. Advanced presentation skills including presenting to groups of 30 or larger Knowledgeable in Change Management Valid California’s driver’s license required.
