Logistics Operations Specialist (m/f/d) – AIRBUS

In this role, you will work at the operational interface between logistics, production, and internal departments. The focus will be on ensuring stable material flows, process improvements, and maintaining logistical standards within the production environment.

Your tasks

  • Development and optimization of temporary workarounds to safeguard the production rate
  • Participation in short-term improvement initiatives in the logistics and production environment
  • Analysis of existing KPIs for the preventive correction of deviations in material flows
  • Leading multifunctional teams in logistics improvement initiatives
  • Stakeholder management with suppliers as well as internal and external customers
  • Monitoring of logistics process and quality standards on the shop floor

Your profile

  • Completed technical, logistics or business administration studies
  • Professional experience in supply chain, logistics, or supplier management
  • In-depth SAP/R3 application knowledge; Google Workspace is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement, project management and process management
  • Knowledge of FAL manufacturing processes and logistics processes is desirable.
  • Fluent in German and English; French is an advantage.

  • Work with business stakeholders to define requirements and capture business needs for Supply Chain functions within the company and ensure compliance with SAP standards and best Practices
  • Align with the Solution Architects and external partners to implement solutions within the SCM / LE / MM module of SAP and other integrated applications 
  • Be the one responsible for Application Maintenance and Support services in the SCM area and handholding business users to ensure uninterrupted business operations as per the SLAs
  • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands in close cooperation with peers
  • Present solutions and estimates to IT Leadership, Business Process Owner and Service Owners in order to gain approval for the realization of new feature requests and improvements and ensure delivery as per SLAs
  • Support UAT in order to validate the solution towards the acceptance criteria
  • Ensure adherence to IT processes as well as policies, principles and guidelines

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a Science-related field
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP consulting or SAP Competence Centers, with recognized expertise in the SAP MM and LE and intercompany processes
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently define target architectures, design operating models, and optimize end-to-end business processes
  • Proven leadership in SAP MM & LE solution architecture and good understanding in SD-intercompany process, including integrations with Finance, Sales, and surrounding business applications
  • Deep understanding of business drivers and value streams, with the ability to re-engineer processes and lead solutions from strategy and design through implementation and go-live
  • Experience defining and executing logistics and supply chain integrations, including collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Expertise in integration platforms such as SAP CPI, with responsibility for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable integration architectures is a added advantage
  • Good understanding of integration patterns and technologies, including IDoc, RFC, and API-based integrations, as well as master data and procure-to-pay processes with external business partners
  • High level of ownership, goal orientation, and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to drive change and deliver tangible business outcomes in dynamic environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, fluency in English (spoken and written), and the potential to lead and develop a small team within an international Environment

What you bring with you

  • Completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or Economics
  • At least 5+ years of professional experience in the areas of Lean Management, Continuous Improvement, Production, Engineering or Process Optimization
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent German (spoken and written), very good English skills
  • Certifications in the field of Lean/Six Sigma (e.g. Lean Expert, Black Belt) are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, team orientation, and a solution-focused work style.
