Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Technician supports all operational excellence efforts in the production facility. The person(s) performing in this role are models for the behaviors and actions that create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement. Essential Functions: * Participate, assist, and lead kaizen events to drive system and process improvement * Support the implementation of process improvement projects * Exhibit and develop a high level of critical thinking skills * Proficiently apply and train practical, team-based problem-solving methodology * Utilize Leader Standard Work as a basis for structured and organized daily routines * Facilitate the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; foster positive culture change * Demonstrate the ability to apply and train others in the application of lean tools and methodologies * Support cooperation, teamwork, and positive working relationships across all functional areas * Autonomously identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes * Display and be able to train lean leadership behaviors * Continuously develop skills and abilities in line with organizational goals Required Skills/Abilities: * Must be familiar working in a high volume and inventory-intensive environment. * Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner * Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally * Ability to work well in a team environment * Knowledge and ability to train others in waste identification * Ability to gather facts and analyse problems in depth * Ability to support continuous improvement efforts on all shifts Education and Experience: * Five years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment * Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan. * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Microsoft office suite. Physical Demands: * Must be able to stand all day and lift amplifiers throughout the day.
