Description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic Contract Administrator to join our amazing team in Western Australia.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO WITH “OUR TRAINING AND YOUR EXPERIENCE”

You will report to the Perth General Manager and administer the head contract of a major project, and manage any related subcontracts end-to-end. The role includes preparing and tracking notices, variations, EOT claims and payment claims, managing correspondence with the Superintendent and Principal, and overseeing subcontractor performance. You will also maintain registers, monitor deadlines, and support compliance and record-keeping to protect the company’s contractual position.

THE ROLE:

  • Support the management of a complex head contract on a major project for Convergint in Western Australia, including for example, preparation and tracking of documentation for Notices of Delay, Extension of Time claims, and Variation submissions.
  • Prepare and review payment claims and payment schedules to ensure compliance with the contract and security of payment legislation.
  • Act as the first point of contact with the Superintendent and Principal’s representatives, including drafting prescribed notices under the contract (Clause 46) and managing contractual compliance and correspondence to protect the company’s position.
  • Identify and escalate contractual and commercial risks to the Perth General Manager or General Counsel, providing recommendations and practical mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise closely with project delivery teams (engineering, operations, safety, finance, and procurement) to ensure contractual compliance and alignment with project objectives.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project-specific contract administration processes to support efficiency and minimise risk.
  • Maintain project contract registers, monitor key dates and milestones (including EOT deadlines and time bars), and ensure proactive follow-up on Superintendent determinations.
  • Support subcontractor management: issuing subcontracts, monitoring deliverables, evaluating claims, and administering variations and extensions under back-to-back terms.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance obligations are met including insurance, workplace health and safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Provide accurate record-keeping and contract file management to support dispute resolution or audit processes if required.
