Title
Contract Administrator

The Purchasing Contract Administrator researches, negotiates pricing and contract terms for all products and services associated with Orthopedics, Neurology and Spine surgical service lines. Ensures all contracts associated with services lines are competitive and favorable to the organization. Analyzes, researches, and negotiates all new product requests from surgeons and clinical coordinators and report out at appropriate committees. Identify and negotiate opportunities for cost reduction and/or product standardization across the system by engaging surgeons, analyzing vendor usage trends and review of market data. Strategically negotiates cost of capital equipment purchases, accompanying service agreements and service levels. Assists in the coordination of product trials between vendors, surgeons and clinical coordinators. Manages vendor performance on a regular basis and provides buyers contractual information to assist in preparation of purchase orders. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain or equivalent experience required.
  • CMRP or CPSM certification or relevant supply chain certification preferred.
  • 10 years contracting or commensurate experience required.

  • New Product/Technology Request -Research, benchmark, negotiate pricing & contract terms and conditions, report out
  • Contract cost, reduction targeting- Identifying opportunities thru data analysis & benchmarking, negotiate cost reduction, and favorable contract terms and conditions
  • Capital Purchase & Service agreement negotiations-Analyze clinical needs and negotiate pricing and service levels and terms and conditions of agreements
  • Buyer Support/vendor performance management- Research pricing discrepancies, communicate contract terms &pricing. Resolve service or inventory management conflicts with vendors.
