Description

Concrete Partners is a leading concrete construction company operating all over Queensland and Northern NSW.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Administrator to join our team full-time.
As a Contract Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our civil and commercial concreting projects and sports court construction. Working closely with the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of all construction contracts, ensuring compliance, and managing contractual risks. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the project, ensuring its timely completion and overall success.

Responsibilities:

  • Administering and negotiating construction contracts for our projects
  • Negotiating and managing variations, claims and disputes
  • Working closely with project teams to align contracts with project needs
  • Preparing progress claims, payment certificates, and financial reports
  • Monitoring contractor performance and compliance
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and subcontractor relationships
  • Conducting contract risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Supporting resolution of contractual disputes, explaining the terms and conditions of the contracts
  • Staying current with industry standards and legal requirements
  • Maintain and update master data related to contracts
  • Maintain accurate contract records and escalate contractual issues when required

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • At least 1 year contract admin experience in construction
  • At least a AQF Diploma in contract or project management
  • Strong understanding of contracts, legislation, codes, and standards
  • Skilled in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to contract processes
  • Proficient in the use of both Xero & Fergus software programs, and their synchronisation
  • Experienced with the use of MS Office Suite, including spreadsheets and other relevant software for accurate project record keeping - contract amounts & variations; material schedules; retentions held & payable; etc
  • Able to manage documentation associated with project contracts

This is an office-based, full-time (38 hours per week) position.
