The Opportunity Are you an experienced Contract Administrator looking for your next challenge? Join our Infrastructure Services – Energy Networks and Renewables (ENR) team, where you’ll support a diverse portfolio of ongoing projects across Australia. The preferred location for this role is North Sydney, though we welcome candidates based in Melbourne or Brisbane. Some travel to offices and project sites nationwide may be required. As a valued member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in providing expert contractual and commercial guidance to Contract and Project Managers, helping to ensure the successful delivery of capital projects within the ENR portfolio. What’s in it for you Location flexibility: Preferred base in North Sydney, with opportunities available in Melbourne and Brisbane Flexible work options: Including hybrid work arrangements Dynamic, varied work: Engage across multiple projects within a growing, future-focused business Career growth: Ongoing professional development and clear pathways for progression Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Ventia site teams, support functions, and client stakeholders Develop and implement project control frameworks, contracting strategies, and execution plans aligned with Ventia procedures Manage all aspects of contract administration for assigned projects Support procurement processes, including subcontractor onboarding, contract drafting, and governance approvals Monitor contract securities, insurances, and manage variations, delays, extensions of time (EOTs), and claims through to resolution Assist Project Managers with subcontractor payment assessments and approvals Prepare and present financial and contractual reports for internal and external stakeholders Conduct project health checks, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies to the Commercial Manager Support project forecasting, cost control, and revenue re-estimation Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse variances, and implement corrective actions Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all contractual and procedural requirements About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: Significant experience as a Contracts Administrator or Contract Specialist, ideally within the ENR sector and on capital projects A degree in Business, Construction Management, or Law (highly desirable) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills A proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong teamwork and resilience Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Power BI (desirable) About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
