Description
Total Number of Openings 1 Executes Chevron SCM's contracting process. Selects the appropriate contracting strategy, develop scopes of work, compensation structure, and contracting vehicle (e.g. Contract & Amendments) to effectively manage business risk. Identifies and qualifies potential material and service providers, and oversees bidding, bid evaluation and contract award. Works closely with Legal and Subject Matter Experts to ensure contract compliance through the contract life-cycle (contract planning, execution, post award management, and claims mitigation). Category Management: Applies entry level Category Management practices in support of the Category Management process including Strategy Development, Negotiation/Sourcing and Supplier Management Typically, a member of a category team in a BU or corporate category group, taking direction from a Category Specialist/Team Lead. Participate in low value/risk sourcing events. Demonstrates basic understanding of tool sets used to analyze and manage spend. Demonstrates awareness level understanding of agile practices. Awareness of Category Management digital solutions and how to utilize throughout the sourcing process Grow Capability: Build organizational capability on PSCM through formal training and experiential learnings on category management, contracting and procurement operations. Build expertise in formulating and managing contracts that have low risk and complexity Continue to build negotiation competency by attending standard negotiation training where some supplier management is needed, e.g., standard goods and services scopes, managed supplier relationship type. Accelerate learning and growth thru feedback, experiential training, and continuous improvement. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
