POSITION OVERVIEW

The Contract Automation & Robotics Manager will be responsible for overseeing our robotic
welding and painting operations, managing integrators, and building internal capabilities to
sustain and scale automation. This role requires deep hands-on experience with both welding
and paint line robotics, combined with the ability to provide strategic leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee robotic weld cell operations and lead integration of additional weld cells and
  • robotic paint systems
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external integrators, ensuring

projects are delivered cost-effectively and on schedule

  • Establish standardized processes for robotic programming, troubleshooting, and

preventive maintenancelong-term automation capabilitywith company growth

  • Mentor and train in-house personnel (technicians, engineers, maintenance staff) to build
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, system architectures, and vendors aligned
  • Drive ROI analysis and support the General Manager in shaping the automation strategyQualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in industrial automation with proven expertise in both robotic

welding and paint line systemsthrough commissioningmaintenance practicesapplicationsContract Detailsrole as the company expands.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage automation projects end-to-end, from specification
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards, robotic programming conventions, and preventive
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and path-teaching ability for both welding and paint
  • Experience training and mentoring technical staff in automation environments
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills
  • Full-time contract role: 40 hours per week, onsite in Central Texas.
  • Initial contract length: 12 months, with potential extension or transition to a permanent
  • Competitive hourly/weekly rate commensurate with experience.
