CONTRACT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Contract Business Systems Analyst for a contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

CONTRACT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Enterprise Data and IT team is seeking a Contract Business Systems Analyst to enhance our Workday security architecture and support HR initiatives. This role involves advising on best practices and governance within Workday modules, ensuring data security and compliance.

CONTRACT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in an HR or IT-related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years in a business systems analytic role with hands-on Workday security experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday architecture and compliance or IT audit experience (e.g., SOX).
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

CONTRACT BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with SAP to support troubleshooting integrations between Workday and SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good understanding of HR policies, procedures, compliance, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proven track record of tact, confidentiality, initiative, and sound judgment.
Responsibilities
  • Guide and execute the management of security policies, roles, and permissions within the Workday system.
  • Support the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of Workday data through effective security configuration and continuous monitoring.
  • Conduct and help develop processes for regular security audits and role reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, HRIS, and HR teams to implement or advise on security updates.
  • Support integrations by advising on proper security administration for API/Web Services.
  • Develop and maintain Workday security documentation and support compliance with data privacy laws.
  • Provide training and support to end users and system administrators on security best practices.
  • Plan, test, and support system releases and maintenance window activities.
  • Support configuration and operational maintenance actions in various Workday modules.
  • Provide day-to-day support for HR system users and troubleshoot issues.
