We are looking for a Chrome Extension Developer to join us on a short-term basis to deliver a key project milestone. About the Role This is a short-term contract role (approx. 4 weeks), with the potential to extend depending on project needs. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and deploying a Chrome extension that integrates with our backend systems and supports real-time features via WebSockets. The role will also involve applying React and Node.js fundamentals to ensure a smooth, scalable, and secure experience. Key Responsibilities • Develop and deploy a Chrome extension from the ground up. • Implement WebSockets for real-time communication. • Integrate with backend services built on Node.js. • Apply React fundamentals for UI components and interactions where needed. • Ensure compliance with Chrome Web Store guidelines and manage the publishing process. • Debug, test, and optimize the extension for performance and security. • Collaborate with our technical team to meet deliverables on schedule. Qualifications • Proven experience developing and publishing Chrome extensions. • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. • Experience with Chrome Extension APIs and Manifest V3. • Hands-on experience with WebSockets for real-time data exchange. • Solid foundation in React and Node.js. • Familiarity with authentication flows (OAuth, JWT, etc.) is a plus. • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Contract Details • Duration: ~1 month (approx. 4 weeks). • Extension: Possible, depending on project scope. • Location: 100% remote. • Hours: Flexible, milestone-driven
