CONTRACT DATA & AI GOVERNANCE ANALYST:

Procom is searching for a Data & AI Governance Analyst for a 12 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Calgary office.

CONTRACT DATA & AI GOVERNANCE ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data & AI Governance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing and maintaining data governance policies, ensuring data quality, compliance, and proper data management practices across the organization. This role requires collaboration with various business units to support data stewardship and regulatory requirements.

CONTRACT DATA & AI GOVERNANCE ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of data & AI governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data quality tools and metadata management is a plus.

CONTRACT DATA & AI GOVERNANCE ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Certification in data governance (e.g., DGSP) is an advantage.
  • Problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Support Enterprise Data & AI Governance Framework by contributing to the development, maintenance, and communication of data and AI standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Enable and support data stewardship by onboarding, training, and guiding Data Stewards on DQ concepts, tools, and governance best practices.
  • Implement and maintain the Data Quality Framework to support the setup, execution, and ongoing optimization of data quality processes.
  • Define and manage Critical Data Elements (CDEs) in collaboration with domain data stewards.
  • Develop and optimize data quality rules and queries to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data across systems.
  • Build and manage data quality dashboards to monitor data health and track KPIs.
  • Document processes and maintain SharePoint resources for centralized, easy access for stakeholders.
  • Assist with designing and delivering targeted training, resources, and communications to enhance data and AI literacy.
