[What the role is] [What the role is] The Travel Agents & Tourist Guides (TATG) Division is seeking a dynamic, passionate and self-driven individual to be part of Compliance and Enforcement (C&E) team that oversees regulatory matters concerning Travel Agents (TA) and Tourist Guides (TG). The officer will conduct C&E checks and basic investigations into contraventions under the Singapore Tourism Board Act 1963 and the Travel Agents Act 1975. [What you will be working on] [What you will be working on] A key aspect of your role will be patrolling and conducting regular C&E checks at various places of interest and attractions to detect breaches such as unlicensed tourist guiding activities and non-compliance by licensed tourist guides and travel agents. Deployment will include evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of routine operations. In the course of enforcement, you will be required to gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and record statements from offenders and witnesses. You will maintain proper documentation of findings, collate evidence, and prepare investigation reports to recommend appropriate enforcement actions. [What we are looking for] [What we are looking for] At least 2 years of field enforcement experience Familiar with legislation, Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code and other related legislation in the conduct of C&E work Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate in another language such as Malay, Tamil or Mandarin would be an added advantage.
