Job Summary Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced Contract Engineer / Contract Manager – Infrastructure to oversee contractual matters across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects in the UAE. The role includes pre-contract tendering, contract negotiation, procurement support, post-contract administration, claims, and project close-out, ensuring compliance with contract terms, UAE regulations, and project objectives while minimizing risk and maximizing commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract: Analyze ITTs, RFPs, and client contract documents; identify commercial/legal risks Support bid strategies, pricing models, and contract negotiations (FIDIC and bespoke forms) Develop subcontract procurement strategies and review agreements Ensure pre-contract compliance with UAE legal and regulatory frameworks Post-Contract: Administer contracts, track correspondence, and manage variations, EoTs, and change orders Assist in claims submission and defense; liaise with legal teams for dispute resolution Monitor contractual risks, costs, and advise on mitigation strategies Administer subcontracts, resolve disputes, and ensure flow-down compliance Maintain contract registers, risk logs, and support project close-out Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or related field 8–10 years of construction contract management experience, including 5+ years in UAE infrastructure projects Proven experience in pre- and post-contract stages for roads, bridges, rail, utilities, and drainage projects Knowledge of FIDIC Red & Yellow Books (UAE adaptations) and regional contract forms Familiarity with UAE government authorities (RTA, DEWA, ADSSC, Etihad Rail) Professional memberships like MRICS, MCIArb are advantageous Key Skills & Competencies Strong command of contract law, dispute resolution, and commercial negotiation Excellent drafting, analytical, and reporting skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure Leadership and communication skills; coordination of multidisciplinary teams Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Proficiency in Aconex, Contract Management Systems, MS Office, Primavera Desirable Attributes Bilingual (English mandatory, Arabic advantageous) Experience collaborating with international and local stakeholders Proven track record on large-scale infrastructure contracts
