Job Summary We are seeking Manager-level Finance Business Analyst with a strong Finance background to support a major finance transformation programme at one of our key clients. This is an urgent requirement for delivery-focused professionals who can lead discovery, shape solutions, and drive outcomes — not just document requirements. The ideal candidate will come from an accounting or finance transformation background, understands financial MI, and can translate finance operating models into effective processes, data, and systems within a complex organisational landscape. Key Responsibilities: Discovery & Analysis * Lead workshops, interviews, and data analysis across core finance domains: Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Hire-to-Retire, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury * Map as-is and design to-be processes using BPMN/Visio, identifying opportunities for simplification, standardisation, and automation * Assess policy and accounting implications, ensuring alignment with GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS/UK GAAP) and company accounting policies Requirements & Design * Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process/control designs * Collaborate with Solution Architects and SMEs on ERP configuration, chart of accounts design, subledger integrations, and reporting requirements * Define data models and reporting specifications for financial and management reporting, KPI dashboards, and statutory/regulatory outputs Controls, Compliance & Quality * Embed financial controls and SOX / internal control requirements into process and system design (access controls, segregation of duties, audit trails) * Support accounting topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), leases (ASC 842 / IFRS 16), fixed assets, inventory, multi-currency, and intercompany * Develop and execute test strategies (SIT, UAT, regression), manage traceability matrices, and support defect triage with Finance and Technology teams Data, Migration & Cutover * Define data requirements, cleansing rules, and mapping for chart of accounts, vendors, customers, products, cost centres, and projects * Support mock conversions, reconciliations, parallel runs, and cutover planning * Validate opening balances and ensure subledger-to-GL integrity Change, Training & Adoption * Prepare change impact assessments and training materials * Support super-user networks and end-user readiness activities * Drive adoption through clear documentation, process playbooks, and post-go-live hypercare support Stakeholder & Delivery Management * Act as the bridge between Finance, IT, and implementation partners * Manage scope, RAID logs, and timelines in Agile / Hybrid delivery environments * Provide clear status reporting and decision packs for Steering Committees, CFO stakeholders, and Finance leadership Skills and Competencies: * Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; able to translate ambiguity into clear, testable requirements * Deep finance process knowledge: R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Tax, Treasury * Strong understanding of accounting, financial statements, and subledger/GL reconciliation * Process design mindset with a focus on standardisation, control, and automation * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across Finance, IT, and vendors * Strong delivery discipline: backlog management, prioritisation, agile ceremonies, and traceability * Proficient with Excel, Visio/Miro/Lucid, and analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau * Experience with enterprise finance platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, Workday Financials, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, NetSuite, Anaplan, or OneStream/Hyperion Required Experience: * 5–8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Business Architect, or similar within Finance transformation or ERP programmes * Demonstrated experience producing BRDs/FRDs, user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and test artefacts * Exposure to SOX / internal controls, segregation of duties, and audit requirements * Strong experience working with senior Finance stakeholders (CFO, Controller, FP&A, Shared Services) Preferred Qualifications: * Professional finance qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CFA (or part-qualified) is a strong advantage * BA certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, BCS, or Agile certifications (Scrum, PSPO, SAFe) * Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments * Familiarity with integration patterns (APIs, ETL), master data governance, and data quality frameworks * Experience with close acceleration, reconciliation tooling, e-invoicing/PEPPOL, or ESG/CSRD reporting * Portfolio / Programme management certifications are advantageous but not mandatory Why Join BIP UK? * Be part of a global, innovative, and collaborative team. * Opportunity to work with industry leaders and shape the future of consulting. * Competitive compensation and benefits package. * Professional development and career growth opportunities. * A culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being.
