POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our leadership team in a contractual
position. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and
initiatives aligned with our organizational mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in nonprofit HR management, with expertise in employee relations, talent
acquisition, and organizational development.
Minimum 2 day onsite, max of 4 days: Number of days will be determined by hours needed
$32/hr (10 – 30 hrs a week)
Track time usage and work assignments - reported monthly with invoice submission

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Prior experience working in nonprofit organizations
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management,

compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support our

organizational culture and values

  • Manage employee relations issues with sensitivity and discretion, providing guidance to

managers on conflict resolution and performance improvement

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain diverse, mission-driven professionals
  • Administer benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance staff capabilities and promote professional

growth

  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with our

mission

  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports for leadership and the Board of Directors as

requested

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
