WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and strong in documentation and reporting. You are quick to adapt, enjoy analysing, and value thorough documentation. You are social and a team player: you’ll be in close contact with colleagues in both the warehouse and the office. This enables you to take the lead and involve people from different departments in problem-solving.

Specifically, you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, educated in the area of safety or quality;
  • Work experience in logistics or supply chain is a plus; • Interest in project-based work;
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office;
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an ambitious and driven QHSE Specialist for our warehouse in Bleiswijk . Being a Quality, Health and Safety Specialist means that, together with you colleagues, you will be responsible for bringing our Ceva QHSE policy to life on our site and support in creating the best work environment for our operators. We want our people to go home safe and healthy after a day at the job. As a specialist you will have a major impact on achieving this goal!
Additionally, Quality is also part of your role. This means living up to the ISO norms and the Customer Requests for Quality. One of your main tasks will be ensuring preventive measures are in place. You’ll also advise on the measures we can take.
With your expertise and effort, you contribute directly to the site’s success!

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

In the Bleiswijk warehouse we perform Contract Logistics for one client. This client is a big fashion e-commerce company with several warehouses in Europe. The warehouse is highly automated has advanced mechanisation. Still several hundred people work here every day, we want them to be safe and healthy.
In this warehouse you will work together with your QHSE colleagues and the operational leadership team. You ensure proper risk analyses and follow-up on Quality and HSE activities by all parties in the warehouse and you are in contact with the client as we have a true partnership in running the site. You register and resolve operational issues related to the QHSE disciplines and are capable of identifying patterns and trends. You do not mind addressing behaviour and talking to people in different levels.

SPECIFICALLY, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Carrying out and updating the Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E), checking Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA), and guiding safety tours;
Workplace investigations and guiding management of change;
Drafting and maintaining Emergency and Evacuation plan);
Emergency response team leader and coordination actions for the team;
Incident analyses and follow-up;
Setting up instructions and procedures to work safe and implement these procedures with operations;
Raising safety awareness within the organization.
Your working hours are from Monday to Friday and are flexible within office hours (07:30 – 18:00). You will be working in Bleiswijk , and the Operations Excellence Manager will be your direct supervisor. The culture at our Bleiswijk site is passionate, result-oriented, engaged, and enthusiastic.
