OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of small project works. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical commercial systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Contract Support Team. This role is crucial in ensuring that contracts are executed efficiently and in compliance with legal standards, while also safeguarding the interests of the company.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Contract Manager or similar role within the Electrical & Mechanical Industry.
  • Knowledge of managing multiple minor works projects (electrical and mechanical).
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work with contractors and suppliers to ensure project delivery.
  • Ability to analyse complex documents and identify key issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of New Engineering Contracts (NEC) and Building Regulations.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and workflow management software.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favorable terms.
  • Maintain health & safety compliance at all job sites.
  • Verifying risk assessments and method statements.
  • Meeting clients, assessing works and preparing estimates and quotes.
  • Quality control of engineers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Office Team.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights and obligations to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to contractual agreements and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with legal counsel as needed to resolve complex contractual issues or disputes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal changes, and best practices related to contract management.
