HOURLY RATE: $37–$40 | FULL-TIME (35 HOURS/WEEK)

The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society (KFS) is seeking a highly organized and community-minded Contract Manager / Community Entity to join our team. This full-time position is essential to ensuring the integrity, compliance, and strategic alignment of contracts across our organization, while also representing KFS in key community and funder relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in contract management, procurement, or related administrative roles.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of BC Housing, outreach services, and Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) operations and expectations.
  • Proficient knowledge and/or experience working with Indigenous Peoples, traditions, and protocols is required.
  • OCAP (Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession) certification is considered a significant asset, especially in relation to Indigenous data sovereignty and ethical data governance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous funding streams and community-based service delivery is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract tracking systems.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and manage contracts with funders, vendors, and community partners.
  • Ensure all contracts meet legal, financial, and organizational standards.
  • Track contract timelines, deliverables, and renewal dates.
  • Collaborate with program directors to ensure proper coding, authorization, and reporting of contract-related expenses.
  • Sit on internal and external boards and committees as a KFS representative.
  • Provide commentary and feedback to funders regarding contract performance and community needs.
  • Support audit preparation and compliance with federal, provincial, and Indigenous-specific funding guidelines.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records of all contracts.
  • Mentor staff on contract processes and expectations.
