We’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our NSW/ACT team, supporting the successful delivery of complex and elevated risk projects across a diverse portfolio. You will bring commercial and contractual expertise within professional services and/or construction environments, along with the confidence to influence outcomes at both project and senior stakeholder levels. The position will interface with internal and external stakeholders and be called upon to protect GHD’s commercial interest and support project teams to deliver commercial success. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: * Providing commercial and contract management advice across the full project life cycle, with a strong focus on projects classified as Elevated Risk Activities * Supporting Project Directors and Project Managers to manage contractual entitlements, variations, delays and extension of time claims in line with contractual and governance requirements * Preparing and implementing contract management plans, commercial tools and project controls to support robust project delivery * Collaborating closely with legal, finance, operations and project teams to manage risk, resolve issues and deliver successful commercial outcomes * Contributing to pre-contract activities including contract reviews, negotiations and commercial input into bids and proposals * Coaching and mentoring the broader GHD Project Management group to strengthen their commercial mindset and approach to project governance What would you bring to the team? * Experience in commercial and contract management within professional services and/or construction environments, ideally within Engineering/Environmental Consulting * Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret contracts, identify and manage risk, and develop pragmatic strategies to protect commercial outcomes * Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships at all levels * Proven experience in pre‑contract management, with exposure to projects across Transport, Energy, Water and/or Property & Buildings Interested?
