Description
Ventia is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the commercial, contractual, and financial performance of major energy network contracts across the Central Region. This is a critical leadership role offering long‑term security, a strong pipeline of work, and the opportunity to play a key role in growing Ventia’s regional capability. With a newly secured 3-year contract, this role provides certainty, continuity, and the chance to make a lasting impact in essential electricity infrastructure. ABOUT THE ROLE You will lead the successful delivery of a major contract, with full accountability for KPI performance, commercial compliance, contractual risk, and optimising revenue and cost recovery. Leading a Hamilton‑based delivery team, you will oversee a portfolio of projects and manage up to 28 staff, including six direct reports. Working closely with stakeholders across the electricity distribution sector, this role is pivotal in strengthening Ventia’s presence and driving growth in the Central Region. Key Accountabilities End‑to‑end commercial, contractual, and financial accountability Delivery against KPIs, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management Revenue optimisation, cost control, and full monthly claim recovery Leadership of high‑performing delivery teams Strong client and stakeholder relationship management Driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and regional growth Championing SHEQ performance and Ventia’s Safe for Life culture ABOUT YOU You are a senior leader with a strong electrical background and a proven ability to manage complex contracts, teams, and stakeholders in regulated environments. You will bring: Electrical experience within utilities or electricity networks Solid experience in senior contract or commercial management roles Strong commercial and financial acumen Confident stakeholder and client leadership capability Proven experience leading large‑scale teams and contracts Ideally, you’ll also have: Construction or utilities sector experience Working knowledge of NZS3910 or similar frameworks Subcontractor performance and commercial management experience WHY JOIN VENTIA?
