This position will be at the core of this global, all-hands effort for our planet and generations to come. We are currently recruiting for a Contract Manager within our Sustainability Business based in our Singapore or Tokyo, Japan office. The successful candidate will be leading the contracting efforts for our East Asia and Japan (EAJ) business that is vital to the future success of the organisation, and will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing growth and success of our SBD division. You will play a key part our Global contracting function and leadership team. The Contract Manager (Sustainability) will be expected to liaise closely with senior management within our Sales, Client Management and Operations divisions to continual develop and refine our contracting solutions to meet the appropriate legal standards required by a leading global energy organisation. Responsibilities include: Provide market leading contractual support to SB’s EAJ business to facilitate business growth, manage risk exposure and allow smooth delivery of SB services. Work with key stakeholders to refine, innovate and develop our contracting solutions, process and control environment to support an evolving and growing division. Work extremely closely with the Sales and Client Management teams to deliver an exceptional level of service to them and to our Clients. Be able to review, amend and commercially risk assess contractual documentation to meet our commercial, finance and legal requirements. Present commercial risk assessments and mitigations to senior business leaders to facilitate decision making. Discuss, explain and champion contractual requirements with internal and external stakeholders. Negotiate contracts in a collaborative fashion with our Clients to ensure mutually successful outcomes. Act as lead point of contact for contractual escalations and queries. Training of colleagues, client facing leads and new recruits in our contracting and commercial rules and processes. Digital innovator and owner of performance metrics of effectiveness of contractual support. Contribute to a continuous learning and improvement environment, help initiate and deliver change. This job might be for you if: Bachelors degree and experienced operator (2 to 5 years) in sales contract preparation, review and negotiation. Legal or contractual qualifications are not a prerequisite for the role but may be an advantage. Fluent in written and spoken English and Japanese languages, and able to negotiate in both. Effective communicator capable of interaction with Senior Management, Executive Sponsors and Client Legal and Purchasers. Ability to prioritise and execute tasks efficiently under pressure.
