Marine manufacturing company EMCS Industries Ltd. is seeking an energetic team player with plenty of initiative to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician. This part-time contract position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop new skills, and potentially grow into a long-term role within our company.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and/or aptitude working with mechanical tools
• Ability to read prints/schematics is an asset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to wear PPE, including a respirator, as required
• Forklift experience
• Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Class 5 driver’s license (minimum novice level) and ability to drive a 1-ton van

• Operate saws, drills, cranes, and other equipment in the manufacture of copper and aluminum anodes and related marine products
• Assemble and test electronic control panels (training provided)
• Perform quality assurance checks prior to product release
• Crate, pack, and prepare products for shipping
• Receive and inspect incoming freight and materials
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and pallet jack
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in the shop and warehouse
• Support production planning and scheduling
• Pitch in wherever required to support the team
