Description:

Contract/Procurement Specialist- Senior
Digiflight, Inc. is looking for a Contract/Procurement Specialist for a DevSecOps program. The role of the Procurement Specialist will include, but not limited to, developing material strategies, identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements; reporting/tracking all program material activities; achieving program material budget objectives; managing program purchase requirements to lead time schedule; participating in sourcing process improvement projects (both Supply Chain and Program); resolving Supply Chain issues for the program and resolving program material cost problems. The Procurement Specialist reports to the Material Operations & Strategies Associate Director and is directly aligned to the Program Manager and represents Material Operations & Strategies on customer programs. The Procurement Specialist is an extension of the corporate shared services for supply chain related support. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for all activities associated with researching and recommending cost effective purchase arrangements.
Primary Responsibilities
a) Purchase equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services required
b) Maintain and update documents and reports
c) Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield
d) Track authorization and correspondence
e) Maintain detailed and organized files
f) Ensure compliance with legal requirements, specifications, and government acquisition regulations
g) Tracks payments and deadlines
h) Supports supply chain risk management efforts such as obsolescence, counterfeit parts, and other categories of risk that affect the supply chain
Basic Qualifications
a) 14+years in Supply Chain, procurement, Business, Operations, or related field. This should include a minimum of 5+ years of applicable supply chain experience acquired from working in the government and commercial defense markets.
b) Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement
c) Requires expert analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision-making
d) Strong project management skills
e) Proven ability to be a self-starter and quick learner, capable of supporting efforts to achieve goals
f) Expert written and oral communications skills at all levels both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
g) Expert risk management methodologies
h) Must be able to collaborate and effectively influence across multiple functions to achieve supply chain performance requirements
i) High level of proficiency in MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
j) Working knowledge of customer flow through requirements such as FAR, ITAR, OFFSET, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and public law.
Candidate must be a US citizen
Candidate must have a MA/MS degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience. This may be substituted with a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 20 years of total experience.
