CONTRACT SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER / PRODUCT OWNER (HEALTHCARE/TELEHEALTH)

Location: Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid/Remote Considered)
Type: Contract (6 months – 1 year, with potential for full-time hire)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Proven experience working with offshore development teams and coordinating across time zones.
  • Strong Agile/Scrum experience with the ability to create well-defined tickets and user stories.
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, or other ticketing systems.
  • Healthcare or telehealth software experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate software functionalities.
  • Understanding of API integrations, cloud technologies, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Scrum Master or Product Owner Certification (CSM, CSPO, PMP, SAFe)
  • Experience with FHIR, HL7, HIPAA compliance, or other healthcare standards.
  • Experience in UX/UI collaboration and working with design teams.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Software Project Manager / Product Owner to lead a custom software development initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing offshore development teams, ticketing systems, testing, and product coordination. Experience in healthcare or telehealth software is highly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and offshore development teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear and well-documented user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to compare existing software features and define requirements for the new system.
  • Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Oversee software testing, QA processes, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Manage ticketing systems (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar) and monitor development progress.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Provide regular status updates and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and training documentation to support go-live.
