About the Role
Our client is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their Legal and Commercial Services team on a 12-month contract. This role will focus on driving value throughout the full contract lifecycle — from negotiation and drafting to ongoing management and risk resolution. The successful candidate will leverage legal, commercial, and business expertise to support sales growth, protect revenue, improve margins, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support contract management teams across multiple projects, accounts, and geographies.
  • Collaborate with account leadership, commercial teams, and client stakeholders to address client needs, priorities, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to performance management activities across accounts.
  • Identify, escalate, and support the resolution of commercial and contractual risks.
  • Engage in pre-award sales activities, including deal shaping, contract drafting, and discussions with delivery and sales leadership.
  • Build trusted, client-facing relationships to represent the contract management function effectively.
  • Promote cross-cultural collaboration and demonstrate inclusion, respect, and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in contract management.
  • Membership in the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM), National Contract Management Association (NCMA), or other relevant certification is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and persuasive skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives and non-executives.
  • Adaptable leader and team player, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
