POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Specialist to support our industrial construction projects by managing subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, and client documentation. The Contract Specialist will work closely with project managers, procurement, and legal to ensure compliance, minimize risk, and support timely project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and industry practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with contract documents and standard construction forms.
  • Understanding of construction project lifecycles, including procurement and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements for construction projects.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Support the bid process by reviewing RFPs, preparing contract terms, and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, insurance certificates, and related documents.
  • Monitor contract performance, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure compliance.
  • Support project managers in resolving disputes, clarifying terms, and enforcing contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to track payments, invoicing, and change orders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for leadership regarding contract status and performance.
  • Provide support to the procurement team as needed
