Position Overview This is a contract position for approximately 6 months located in LaGrange, GA. Position assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and other financial reports and analyses as required. Responsibilities include ensuring integrity of the General Ledger involving payroll and fixed asset accounting, analysis of accruals, and reconciliation of numerous accounts. Also serves as a backup for various other accounting disciplines, such as Sales and Use tax administration, inventory and cost accounting. Job Functions Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. General Ledger Management: Maintaining and updating the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation of all financial transactions. Account Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to identify and correct any discrepancies. Tax Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to all applicable tax laws and regulations. Auditing and Internal Controls: Assisting with internal audits and helping to maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud and errors. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office; CRM Software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Due to business conditions/requirements the company may not be able sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
