Description

We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Test Engineer to jump into an in-flight project alongside an agile, cross-functional delivery team spanning New Zealand and Europe. This is hands-on manual functional testing - you'll be embedded in a collaborative squad, catching what others miss and helping ship quality work for a well-known NZ client. What you'll be doing: You'll own the testing effort within your stream - writing and executing test cases, performing exploratory and regression testing, and validating new features against acceptance criteria. You'll be raising defects with clear, reproducible detail, working closely with the delivery team to triage issues, and contributing to test planning and coverage decisions. Expect to be actively involved in sprint ceremonies bringing the quality lens to every conversation. You'll also be managing test evidence and results to support release confidence. What you'll bring: Proven experience in manual functional testing across web and/or integrated systems. You understand test design techniques, know your way around defect management and test management tools, and can write clear, structured documentation. You're comfortable working in agile environments and know how to adapt when priorities shift mid-sprint. Experience testing APIs or working with tools like Postman or browser dev tools is a plus. Above all, you communicate clearly across time zones and with clients, ask the right questions, and bring energy and ownership to everything you do. The essentials: You'll need the right to work in New Zealand and must be based in Wellington and available to work from the office three days per week. An exceptional attitude matters just as much as your testing chops.

Responsibilities

The Test Engineer will own the testing effort within their stream, focusing on writing and executing test cases and validating features against acceptance criteria.
