Contract Yoga Instructor / Sound Healing Practitioner (Evenings) Ascent Behavioral Hospital – Millcreek, UT Part-Time | Independent Contractor (1099) “Grow Your Career. Change Their Future.” Ascent Behavioral Hospital is seeking a contracted Yoga Instructor / Sound Healing Practitioner to lead evening programming for adolescents in a behavioral health setting. This role focuses on restorative/Yin yoga, mindfulness, and sound healing to support emotional regulation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. What You’ll Do Lead evening group sessions in restorative/Yin yoga Facilitate sound healing experiences (e.g., singing bowls, sound baths) Create a safe, trauma-informed environment for adolescents Adapt sessions to meet clinical and emotional needs Collaborate with clinical staff to support treatment goals What We’re Looking For Yoga certification (RYT-200+ preferred) Experience with restorative and/or Yin yoga Training or experience in sound healing modalities Ability to work with adolescents in a structured, clinical setting Strong interpersonal skills and professional boundaries CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Why Partner With Us Meaningful impact in adolescent mental health Flexible evening schedule Collaborative, mission-driven environment Opportunity to be part of a holistic treatment model Details Independent Contractor (1099) Evening hours (schedule coordinated in advance) On-site at Ascent Behavioral Hospital Service Expectations / Essential Functions ● Deliver consistent, high-quality sessions in accordance with the agreed-upon schedule. ● Exercise professional judgment in modifying instruction based on patient presentation and group dynamics. ● Maintain situational awareness and respond appropriately to patient needs or behavioral concerns. ● Communicate effectively with designated hospital staff regarding scheduling, participation, and concerns. ● Adhere to all applicable facility policies related to safety, confidentiality, and patient interaction.
