Description Job Summary: The Contracting Manager plays a key role in supporting healthcare provider contracting processes by managing the operational, analytical, and administrative aspects of contract lifecycle management. While this role does not directly engage in contract negotiations, the Contracting Manager is critical in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining contracts and ensuring alignment with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and financial goals. This role works cross-functionally with legal, finance, network strategy, and provider relations teams to ensure contract terms are accurately documented, tracked, and implemented. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of contracts with hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Coordinate internal workflows to support contract execution, renewals, amendments, and terminations. Prepare contract documents, rate sheets, and supporting documentation for review by negotiation leads. Analyze fee schedules, reimbursement terms, and contract language to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. Maintain contract management systems and databases to ensure up-to-date provider contracting records. Serve as a liaison between internal departments (e.g., Legal, Finance, Provider Relations) to gather input and communicate contract-related updates. Monitor key contract terms, expiration dates, and deliverables to support timely renewal and compliance. Support the implementation of new contracts by collaborating with credentialing, claims, and IT teams as needed. Assist in preparing financial and performance reports to inform contracting strategy. Stay current on healthcare regulations and payer/provider industry trends that impact contracting. Collaborate and provide support to C-suite during contract negotiations. Must be prepared to make suggestions. Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPCM, CHC) preferred. Experience: 3+ years of experience in healthcare contracting, provider relations, or network management. Strong understanding of healthcare provider agreements, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory compliance. Experience with contract management systems and data analysis tools. Skills & Abilities: Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and contract database tools.
