Responsibilities:

  • What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for providing enterprise-wide Security support and local Contractor Program Security Officer functions as part of the V2X Security team. Assists with the management, administration and coordination of DOD or other industrial security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Works on assignments that range from simple to complex in nature. Initiative and sound judgement are required in performance of tasks performed under this function.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • This position will serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)
  • Administers and coordinates the DoD Special Access Program or other industrial security program elements and security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures that are non-IT related.
  • Typical security related issues may include physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, Communication Security (COMSEC), packages, documentation and debriefings.
  • Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and management personnel.
  • Conducts security briefings.
  • Participates in the development of and conducts security education programs.
  • Assists with Investigations of losses and security violations and recommends corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements procedures and coordinates procedure manual revisions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Use of security databases, such as, DISS, SIMS. Familiarization with DoD guidance, 32, CFR, Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), DD254s, Special Access Programs, and additional access caveats, such as, FRD and NATO.
  • Perform other job duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 4 years of related industrial security field experience with a Bachelors; or equivalent years of experience.
  • DoD Personnel Security (PERSEC) field experience.
  • Experience supporting National Industrial Security Program.
  • Certificates/Licenses:
  • Must have or be able to obtain FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities within 6 months of assuming position.
  • Secret Clearance:
  • Currently enrolled in DoD CE with active Secret eligibility
  • Other Requirements:
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Business Acumen:
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Working knowledge of CCure-9000
  • Working knowledge of the Security Information Management System (SIMS)
  • Working knowledge of DoD Personnel Security procedures including but not limited to Authorization for Smart Card Login Access (ASCL), Trusted Associate Sponsorship System (TASS), and Nation Industrial Security Program (NISP) Central Access Information Security System (NCAISS)
