GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) is the lead security officer and ultimate decision maker for all program security operations under their purview. The CPSO will serve as a security specialist and security advisor, providing oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (information, personnel, industrial, physical, computer, operations, and communications security) in support of PLEXSYS’ Corporate and contract needs.
The CPSO ensures the appropriate security posture for all assigned systems and programs. The CPSO will work closely with the FSO, CIAM, Security Manager, and ISSM to manage the security aspects of their systems or programs. The CPSO is responsible for coordination with the cognizant security authorities and other government personnel to ensure all security requirements are met. This position will coordinate with and make reports to the FSO and Corporate Information Assurance Manager as required and may serve as an alternate in their absence. The CPSO will work in close collaboration with the Government Security Manager, GSSO, ISSM, ISSO, or other government representatives. The CPSO will coordinate with local Advanced Programs Offices (APO) and other offices, as required. The CPSO will assist the FSO with all delegated duties necessary to maintain the Corporate Facility Clearance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of five years experience in Security Management
  • Must have or be able to obtain/maintaina Top-Secret clearance, SCI eligibility, and approval for Special Access Programs
  • Specialized Security training, knowledge, or experience with DoD and Air Force security guidelines
  • Extensive training or experience with Automated Information Systems standards
  • Experience with DoD Security Regulations and Policies
  • Extensive knowledge of security and awareness of potential security threats and risks.
  • Completion of CDSE SAP training courses or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in markingand protecting classified information and derivative classification
  • Knowledgeable in PersonnelSecurity (PERSEC) Management
Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight and management of multiple security disciplines (e.g., information, personnel, industrial, physical, computer, operations, and communications security) in support of advanced and special access programs (SAPs) for PLEXSYS’ Corporate and contract needs
  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate security posture for all assigned systems/programs
  • Coordinate with the FSO and CIAM to manage the security aspects of assigned systems/programs
  • Serves as a security professional POC to local engineering, testing, and operations personnel with regard toSAP technologies
  • Implements and administers the SAP personnel security program IAW DoD 5205.07 Vol. 1 - Implements and administers the Security Program for Special Access Program-related actions using DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM directives and procedures
  • Implements and administers the SAP personnel security program IAW DOD 5205.07Vol. 2 -Establishes local procedures for processing requests for security accesses for military, civilian, and contractor personnel
  • Implements and administers the SAP physical security program IAW DOD 5205.07Vol. 3 - Ensures compliance with Emanations Security (EMSEC) Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) requirements
  • Perform security assignments in accordance with the Automated Information System requirements and local regulations
  • Understand and follow NISPOM/ICD/NIST/JSIG classified system accreditation and certification requirements
  • Submit and maintain Personnel Security Clearances (NISPOM Chapter 2, Section 2)
  • Submit DISS Visit Requests (NISPOM Chapter 6)
  • Provides foreign travel briefings, updates DISS records and provides documentation to the FSO
  • Shipment of Sensitive Material IAW SAP and NISPOM requirements
  • Destruction of Classified Material IAW SAP and NISPOM requirements
  • Assists with onsite employee security training
  • Completes SAP Self-Inspections
  • Review and coordinate contractor agreements, DD Forms 254, and Contract Security Class Specifications
  • Act as an onsite representative for the Insider Threat program
  • Other duties as assigned
