Position Description The Contract Administrator provides support for the formation, administration, and closeout of assigned subcontracts on a given project. Essential Functions • Assist with the prequalification of potential subcontractors • Apply knowledge of construction contracting best practices • Prepare and review contracts with subcontractors • Maintain files of all subcontracts for designated projects • Maintain correspondence files for subcontracts • Provide contract administration functions including maintaining records of scope changes, extra work requests, letters to/from contractor, etc. • Handle invoice review and payment • Provide project control with cost trends for subcontracts • Performs special projects as required Requirements Preferred Qualifications • 8-10 years of experience in contracts administration • Knowledge of contractual language and terminology • Familiarity with insurance coverage principles for contracts • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency with word processing and spread sheet software • Basic knowledge of oil and gas industry, with engineering services for oil and gas pipeline projects a plus • Understanding of contract language with respect to project scope of work and client requirements/expectations Competencies • Forward Thinking • Problem solving • Detail oriented • Commercial awareness • Results oriented • Customer focused • Business and people acumen Work Environment/Physical Demands · Working conditions are normal for an office environment. · Frequent sitting and operating a computer. · Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials. · Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. · Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
