Using your highly developed contracts administration skills, you will provide practical guidance and advice on managing contracts, interpreting and dealing with contractual issues, and providing advice in the assessment of payment claims, variations, delays, and defects. You will contribute to the development and implementation of contract management plans, as well as monitoring performance and addressing non-performance to achieve required contract outcomes.
In addition, you will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to environmental projects, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Administer contracts in accordance with approved Contract Management Plans and procedures and update contract details to maintain the integrity of contract information.
- Interpret contract requirements, and terms and conditions to support compliance with statutory and policy requirements and inform decision-making.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and mitigate risk and maximise the commercial value from the contract.
- Proactively identify contract risks to meet organisational obligations and achieve the planned outcomes of the contract.
- Assist with project contract claims, EOT, variations, payment claims, etc
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator with a proven track record in contract management, complex value and time-based analytics, claims mitigation and negotiation. You will have well-developed time management and organisational skills alongside knowledge of both pre and post contract with claims experience.
In addition, you will have:
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline—such as environmental science, law, or business administration—or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in contract administration, with a minimum of five years’ experience, preferably within the environmental sector
- Strong understanding of contract law and regulations related to environmental issues (highly desirable)
- Well-developed relationship building skills with people with a variety of backgrounds
